Torin & Fen
O' Truth, become my gaze once more
There was an Observer named Torin, though the title tells you less about him than the questions he kept.
He was patient when the world was strange, stubborn when an answer came too easily, and curious enough to return to things others had already named.
Beside him drifted Fen.
Not quite star, nor creature, though he seemed to have borrowed something from both — a small living constellation with bright eyes, a mischievous heart, and a will entirely his own.
Torin looked for what the world was trying to show him.
Fen seemed to notice what the world was still becoming.
Neither led the other.
They simply discovered that some truths are easier to approach when two different kinds of wonder remain beside them.
Perhaps that is why the old accounts so rarely remember one without the other.
In a an elusive world full of second looks, until next time, may truth bless your gaze

I honestly didn’t know what to expect from the preview, but got pulled into it instantly as It feels so different from other fantasy books I’ve seen. The artwork is beautiful but I especially liked Torin and Fen together there’s already something really lovely about them. I finished the prologue wanting the full book straight away.

The artwork is beautiful, but the world feels even bigger than the pages. I’m already waiting for the full edition.

I loved how quiet and strange this was. It feels like nothing else I’ve read lately.

Such a strange one to describe because it doesn’t really feel like anything else. In a good way. It doesn’t rush to explain everything, so I kept looking back at the pages and noticing different details. I’m already completely invested and really want to see where Torin and Fen go next.

I read the prologue last night and now I’m annoyed that I have to wait for the full edition. It has a really unusual atmosphere of calm, mysterious and a little unsettling at times. I wasn’t expecting to care about the characters so quickly, but Torin and Fen have definitely got me. There’s something genuinely original here.
